Nicole-Melody + Parker: A life-long love story!

Tell us how you and your fiancé met!

We met in children's church sometime in elementary school. Parker is Jude's best friend, aka Nicole's cousin. Though we never really talked or came around each other. It wasn't until to beginning of 2020 where Parker began to like Nicole, but never said anything. Where we were 15 and 16. Then finally, in October of 2020, Nicole got his Snapchat. Then we never stopped texting. We told each other everything, we became each others go to person. Then 6 months later in March of 2021 we went on our first date to bowling, then 2 days later we went on another bowling date where Parker asked Nicole to be his girlfriend. Then 4 years later on 01/18/2025 Parker asked Nicole to marry him, where she said yes! Next we say I do.

How was the proposal? We want all the details!

The day before the proposal Crystal (Parker's mom) texted Nicole stating that we were gonna go to Gruene and have dinner there for Parker’s birthday. She said they would have a table by the water, but that Nicole was going to surprise Parker and asked if Nicole could be at the house by 5. So then Saturday comes around and Nicole is getting ready. She did her hair and makeup really nice because we were going to Gruene. So then around 4:30 she heads to Parkers house and she pulls up, everything outside was so quiet. She walks up to his front door and she opened it, she see him standing there smiling at her, the most pretty smile she could ever imagine. She starts crying immediately because at the end of the aisle is the love of her life and he is about to ask her to be his forever. Parker then sees her as she opens the door and starts crying, because he knows today is just the beginning of forever. She starts to walk over to him and he takes her hand and tells her “I love you so much Nicole-Melody and I will love you forever”. Then he gets down onto his left knee and asks her to marry him! She say’s yes and they are both crying. They then take a couple of pictures and he says he has one more surprise for her. So they head outside and his entire family and her entire family are all there to celebrate their love. It was the most magical day ever!

Did you have your wedding planned out since you were a little girl?

Yes and No. I always dreamt of a huge dreamyyyy wedding. Something romantic and timeless, and that is exactly what I got. I never knew the details I wanted until Parker and I started dating. Even though we were only 15, I knew I wanted to marry him and I knew exactly what I wanted it to look like. No other themes, colors, or decor were ever in my mind. Only black, white, gold and simple and timeless.

How did you find the Hidden Gem of Gruene?

I found the Hidden Gem of gruene while on Google. We knew we didnt want a barn or hill country but something cute and simple. The Hidden Gem was just that, as well at work when I was telling people where I was looking I had some good feedback when I stated the Hidden Gem was a good contender.

With so many beautiful wedding venues to choose from, what attracted you to the Hidden Gem?

In Texas there are so many barns and farms. That is not what we wanted, although we may be from the south we are farrrr from southern. We are boujee people, and we are boujee on a budget, and the Hidden Gem was everything we dreamed off and in budget!

Who were your favorite vendors to work with?

My favorite vender to work with was our coordinators. We chose Team One Luxury Events, and they took care of everything and made the day so much easier for Parker and I.

What did you love the most about the Hidden Gem of Gruene?

What we loved most was honestly the decor included in the Hidden Gem. It matched my pinterest board and helped us stay within budget. As well as how beautiful the venue was in general.

What was the best moment that you will always remember from your wedding?

Nicole- The best moment I remember was walking down the aisle and watching Parker. I wanted to take in him in that moment and that was something I will cherish forever, was watching him.

Parker- My favorite part was when were introduced as a married couple coming into the reception. That was so fun and so memorable and being able to see everyone who came to support us.

What is one piece of advice that you would give a future bride when booking a venue?

One piece of advice is to be strong. Many venues with continue to nag you and persuade you, don't go with them even if you feel bad. Its supposed to your day and don't make sacrifices cause you are being bombarded!
