Meet our Hidden Gem of Gruene Couple: Madison & Noah
Where it all started:
Madison: “My husband and I met 9 years ago. My Tia (aunt) was having her Quinceañera and she told me that I will be standing with a boy that is a twin. I didn’t think much of it, but I was really nervous because I was 13 at the time, and I have never held hands with a boy! The first Quince practice I was nervous because I did not know how this boy looked, and I don’t know if he was going to be weird. When I saw Noah for the first time I felt butterflies instantly! I could tell he was nervous as well but after that day I knew exactly who I wanted to be with forever.”
Date. Blindfold. Proposal!
Madison: “When my husband proposed to me I was playing college softball at the time. I was living 4 hours away from my hometown as well. He was about to go to the UK for the next three years because he’s in the military, so he asked me if I can come home for a weekend before he leaves. Luckily, I was able to come home. When I got home the next day he said he had a cute date planned out for us, and I didn’t suspect a thing because he normally does nice things for me. Once we were done with our date he told me to put a blindfold on, I still wasn’t suspicious, but the moment he put the GPS on his phone, SIRI said my address. Once I heard my address while blindfolded that is when I knew he was going to ask the big question! I didn’t want to spoil it for him so I pretended to have no clue. Once we walked to my backyard he took off my blindfold and all of our friends and family were there. There was lights lighten up, pictures of us everywhere, and flowers on the ground leading up to where he asked the big question! Of course, I said yes!”
Did you have your wedding planned out as a little girl?
Madison: “When growing up I was always a tom boy so I never thought of my wedding. As soon as I met my husband I knew who I was going to marry. I never had my wedding planned out, I just knew that when my husband and I get married it was going to be perfect. And It was!”
The Wedding Venue. How did you find the Hidden Gem?
Madison: “When my mom and I were looking for venues in San Antonio there was none that I was looking for. There are many pretty ones in San Antonio but I knew they weren’t the one. I almost gave up but I believe the first time seeing the hidden gem was on wedding wire. When I went to Hidden Gem’s website I thought it was so beautiful! I told my mom about it and we both agreed to make an appointment to tour the venue. Which was the best decision I made!”

What made the Hidden Gem THE BEST VENUE IN THE TEXAS HILL COUNTRY?
Madison: “When my mom and I first pulled into the parking lot the front of the venue was already beautiful! Once we came inside it was even more beautiful. If I had to choose my favorite part of the venue it would be so hard to do! I think the first thing that caught my eye was the beautiful front door and stair case. As soon as I saw the stair case I knew I could see myself walking down with my husband.”
Vendors! Who did you love and why?
Madison: “Every vendor that I had at my wedding did such an awesome job! The two that stood out to me the most was Vegas Entertainment and KB flowers. Dj big Rick is such an awesome and genuine guy. Him and my husband bonded so well even though they barely met the day of the wedding. Kristie from KB flowers is the most generous person I have ever met. She puts a lot of effort and passion into what she does and she takes the time to get to know her couples which I love the most.
What stood out about the Hidden Gem of Gruene?
Madison: “If I could say I loved everything about the Hidden Gem of Gruene I would! The thing that I loved the most was how awesome Joey and Katie are. I think the people who help you and your spouse out before, during, and after your wedding is the most important thing. They are awesome to work with and their personalities/vibes are amazing! Thank you Joey and Katie for being the most supportive and helpful people throughout this process.”
Let’s talk onsite lodging! What was your favorite part of our oniste lodging?
Madison: “Yes, we did stay on the onsite lodging. When my husband and I first went into the lodge we had to take a moment for how beautiful it was! Everything was clean and more spacious than I thought it was. It is such a beautiful lodge to be in.
What was the Best moment you will always remember/always cherish from your wedding?
Madison: “I think the best moment that I will always remember from my wedding is the last dance with my husband. Everything was perfect that day but being able to take a moment for ourselves felt so special. It felt so surreal because we are high school sweethearts and I always dreamt of that day since I was 14 years old. I will never forget how special our last dance was, and I can’t wait to tell our future children all about it.
A piece of advice for all Future Brides:
Madison: “Once piece of advice that I would give a bride who is looking for a venue is to follow your heart. I know everyone says that but it is true. Everything happens for a reason! If you know that is your venue, get it! Also, never let other people’s opinions influence how you want your big day. At the end of the day it is about you and your forever best friend!”
